Elected President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono has told the candidate ministers of the next cabinet to sign a commitment to refrain from committing corruption.
“The commitment is carried in a code of conduct to future ministers have to sign. The code of conduct also carried a clause that they must avoid conflict of interest and governance,” Presidential spokesman Andi Mallarangeng said at the President’s residence in Puri Cikeas, Bogor, Sunday.
Under the code of conduct, the ministers must be prepared for a Presidential evaluation at any time. According to Andi, 18 prospective ministers were summoned yesterday to meet the 34 candidate ministers of the next cabinet.
