Abdul Muhaimin Iskandar
The young politician born Jombang, East Java, 24 September 1966, is Chairman of the Board of the Partai Kebangkitan Bangsa (PKB). Alumnus of Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Gadjah Mada University (UGM) Yogyakarta, has been plunged since his youth in various organizations, to become Chairman of the Executive Board of the Indonesian Islamic Students Movement (PMII).
His political career dashed when selected by Abdurrahman Wahid (Gus Dur) to serve as Secretary General of the Partai Kebangkitan Bangsa (PKB) in 1998. The man who familiarly called Cak Imin it later became a member of the House of PKB in the two periods, namely 1999-2004 and 2004-2009. He also had served as Vice Chairman of the House of Representatives 2004-2009 period. In Election 2009, Cak Imin again elected to the House of Representatives from the 2009-2014 period electoral districts of East Java I.
In the next cabinet, Muhaimin Iskandar is expected to occupy the position of Minister of Manpower and Transmigration.
