16 customers of four banks in Denpasar, Bali, have reported the sudden loss of their savings in the past week, spokesman of the National Police Insp. Gen. Edward Aritonang said Wednesday.
He added that the customers had reported losses of between Rp 1 million (US$ 107) and Rp 5 million.
“We have coordinated with the banks — Bank Central Asia [BCA], Mandiri, Bank Negara Indonesia [BNI] and Permata [to locate the money],” Edward told.

Bank Central Asia (BCA) releases an official statement regarding cracked ATMs in Kuta, Bali. For the time being the bank is suspecting them to be criminal action.
